[ That weekend, during one of Huaisang’s usual party hours and at her favourite club, the place is absolutely packed. The music is loud enough to barely be able to hear voices over it, and the crowds dense enough that you have to brush people to get past them.
And yet, as Huaisang dances, the crowd seems to part a little next to her, instinctively all turning their back on the same point, pulling apart like the Red Sea. It’s hard to actually look at where the crowd parts - or it would be - until suddenly it’s easy to look straight at the man who has walked in between them as he lowers his hood and deactivates the attention avoidance spell he was wearing.
