Well, do what you want.
[She's not going to say no to free stuff, after all.
And she watches hi devour his burger with a slightly amused look.]
You don't have your own place... but you do have money to feed yourself, right?

... Okay. Well I have more food at home if you're still hungry later.
[She knows a few people like that. She's pretty sure Wei-xiong would forget to eat if his sister didn't remind him to.]
And it's fine, I don't need you to pay for me. I'm a big girl. Come on now, finish it and let's go.
[True to her word, she stops at small store for a pack of beer on the way back before leading the way to her home.
It's in a good part of town of course, in a nice but non-descript high rise. Her name is on the mailbox but also, for people who can see it, a hidden Nie Sect sigil. And once they get to her floor, the presence of protection wards will be more than apparent. And they're not just the kind you put up to trip when someone goes through. They block sound and appear designed to actually repel some lower level offensive spells like a shield.
She unlocks her door, throws the keys on the console in the entrance and calls out.]
Lights on!
[The lights in the living room come on as well as several small ambient lights in the corridors and one in the kitchen.]
Leave your shoes here.

"Mm, we already did that last night anyway. Though I could go for that again with you calling me 'Angel' instead..." Mingyu murmured, expression thoughtful. Then he wet his lips again, taking in a sharp breath through his nose at Fox picking up the lube, pulse throbbing hotly against the already too-tight constraints of the ring. Just looking at the lube, thinking about last night, he could almost physically feel Fox inside him already. It made him bite down on his lip with the memory of the sweet ache of being split open on his lover's cock, whimpering low with want and need and impatience.
"...we can do romantic and sweet again tonight, after dinner," he managed, voice hoarse with arousal, just barely holding on to his train of thought.
"As for stakes—" It took Mingyu a moment to think, trying to come up with something cared enough about to fight for more than having Fox fuck him senseless into the bed as long as possible.
"If we're out of here before noon, we stay an extra night so I can be tied up all day in here and spoiled however I want," he offered, a little breathless as he spoke. "And if we don't get out of here until after... then you can have your way with me in public somewhere the way you like, wherever and however you like."
It was the very definition of a win-win situation for both of them, and Mingyu wouldn't have it any other way.

"What's there not to like?" Mingyu answered, only to have his voice catch on his fluster all over again as Fox's hand drew close, gaze tracking Fox's fingers, eyeing the plug—
And then Fox stalled to whine about the bet of all things, causing Mingyu to startle himself with a bright laugh, shaking his head at the pout on Fox's face.
"It's not a choice, it's a bet," he pointed out, leaning up to kiss Fox's precious lips. "You're supposed to be trying to drag this out. But I guess you can switch which outcome you're aiming for if you really want."

A quiet, breathy moan escaping him, Mingyu pressed down into Fox's touch at once, trying to get more of him, feel more of him. Mingyu could seldom be called a greedy man, but in this he was voracious. He gave up on the bet, figured it was as much a coin toss now or anything. Whenever they ended, whenever they left, that would decide their next activity and whatever lost out could wait until they got home. Speaking of...
"—so we agreed you're moving in, right?" he voiced with an air of deliberate casualness, trying to sound nonchalant about it. No big deal, just his secret boyfriend and definite love of his life moving into his apartment. It was just an extra three, four days a week. Didn't change anything at all. Definitely.

"How am I supposed to get sick of you when I've never once had my fill of you?" Mingyu demanded, moving straight past relief at the apparent acceptance of his request right back to uncertainty. Blinking, he sat up and took Fox by the wrist, stopping him, gazing steadily into the green of his eyes.
"...of course I want you to. I— I want to spend every second of every day with you. Doing this, or— Or watching you do other kinds of magic, or watching you eat, or telling you stupid jokes until you laugh. You're not... someone I'm putting up with, Huli," he insisted, leaning in close. "Being with you is a privilege. A gift. ...I love you."

But how could Mingyu offer anything less than what Fox gave him? For all the money, the fame, the status— Mingyu hasn't had a home to go back to once since his parents passed and with them so too did his childhood home. The building was still there, full of memories, and yet it'd gone cold. Just an empty shell, like a corpse on its own.
Fox, meanwhile, seemed to breathe life into everything.
"Y-Yeah?" Mingyu winced, hating that he couldn't keep the tremor of excitement and disbelief out of his voice, forcing himself through it all the same as he grinned wide, letting go of Fox's hand to kiss him again, and again, and again. He crawled up, knowing Fox would only push him right back down, to clamber halfway into Fox's lap, giddy, peppering clumsy kisses over most of his face.
"Okay, you're moving in!" he repeated between kisses, voice all a rush with his surge of adrenaline. "We'll have to celebrate when we get back— Maybe I'll announce a vacation, book a flight to Europe... and stay at home with you all week, not leaving bed for anything. We'll live off granola bars and tap water and test out all the practical applications of magic in bed. Does that sound good?"

Look, Mingyu knew a thing or two about his fox and he wouldn't spring Europe on him like that. Work him up to it, sure. Call it a honeymoon in the future, with or without the associated wedding. Something. Anyway.
Mingyu smiled readily into that kiss, heart so full of joy it ached. It was perfect, and this was perfect, and Fox was perfect, and Mingyu felt suddenly terrified that it was too much. This was too much good to have, too much good to get.
There had to be a catch. There was always a catch. A price to be paid. In magic, in life, in everything.
When people were greedy, got too much good. That was when tragedy would strike.
Shivering a little, Mingyu pushed past it. It didn't matter. He didn't care. He wanted this, would have it, would stop at nothing to keep having it. He went through life never asking for anything, and he would have this.
Sighing out in pleasure and satisfaction as Fox began to move his hand once more, Mingyu ground down into his lover's lap with renewed enthusiasm.
"You're what's perfect, Huli."

[Just her luck that of course the night she is on call, someone ends up tripping the silent alarm at the main restaurant and she gets the call at 2am and has to leave her friends behind to go and see if it's really something.
She takes her fan just in case, and stops by her apartment to get her cleaver before she remembers it's probably at the restaurant anyway.
By the time she makes it there, she can't find anything wrong with the enchantments and wards. They're still in place, and still behaving the way they should when she comes in, recognizing her as a Clan member as she gets through.
But there's still someone in there. Someone that shouldn't be there.]
Hey. You have two and half minutes to get out because if I don't punch in the code for the alarm in that amount of time, the police will be here by then. I don't want to file a report, and I'd rather tell everyone back home it was a false alarm so let's not make this big, okay?

[She looked at him, clearly emerging from under a stone where some of her Clan's secret fire runes were engraved in the stone and painted, her gaze going from the stove to his face, then back to the stove, before settling on his face with a raised eyebrow.]
.... Not here to steal anything, huh? So copying ancestral rune magic from a Clan you don't belong to is not considered stealing anymore then? Maybe I should just let the cops deal with it....
Ninety-five seconds left, by the way.
You give that page you just scribbled on, maybe I'll punch in the safe code.
[She held out her hand, all the while hoping he was not going to start a fight, because she had very little hope of coming out on top if she did. She literally was the worst person to have on call during a break-in, but her uncle refused to take her out of the rotation because, quote, 'Everyone has to do their part.'
Even if that part ended probably being beaten up in the back of her own family's shop. Ugh.]
Listen, I don't want trouble. Just give me that and get the hell out. One minute.

Right. 'Learning'.
[She grabbed the page, well aware that he'd probably memorized enough that he could redraw it the moment he was out of there (even if she had yet to click on who exactly he was) but... she needed something to show that she'd made an attempt to stop whatever he thought he was doing there, and her uncle was probably going to want to do something about upping security after this, so...
She went to the control panel of the very mundane, standard alarm system and punched in a code... and then kicked his bag out of the way so it'd stop pressing against the button.]
Okay, now out... damn it.
[She noticed the police lights outside as she looks up and swore in Chinese under her breath.]
Oh, so of course, today is the day they decided to actually listen to all the criticism they got about their fucking response time! Okay...
[Thinking fast, she marched towards him and grabbed his sleeve to drag him towards the walk-in freezer.]
Get in there. I'll talk to them and tell them it was me who tripped the alarm when I came to pick something up. If they find you, tell them you're with me, but I don't think they'll search, they don't have any authority to come in if I don't let them. Don't make noise. When I tell you the coast is clear, come out and walk a straight line directly to the door, okay?
[The truth was, the old Clans were outwardly law-abiding, but none of them really wanted the police in their walls if they could avoid it at all. They paid enough lip service - and in some cases, actual money - to law enforcement to keep an uneasy status quo, and there was no way Liushu was going to tip that balance today just because that guy, whoever he was, somehow had managed to get inside to.... crawl under the kitchen equipment. Whatever.]
Be quiet. I'll be right back.

[She only had half a second to see his cloaking spell - way more advanced than anything she had ever seen before - before she slammed the door shut and made her way outside.
It took about twenty minutes of half-flirting, half-joking with the officer - 'No, really, officer, I'm so clumsy, haha, you'd believe this isn't my place, I literally tripped over myself, everything's fine, no I don't need you to escort me home' - before they finally left, apparently convinced that she'd just made a mistake.
She sighed and then opened the back door again, and sent in a spell to unlock the freezer from where she was standing.]
They're gone. Get out quickly before the alarm sees you again.
